Speed up your system!

Have you tried improving the speed of your computer in the past but you have not noticed a significant difference?

The number one solution, to speed up your desktop or laptop, is a Solid State Drive (SSD).

SSD's do functionally everything traditional hard drives (HDD's) do, but data is stored on flash memory chips instead of spinning platters, which comes with several advantages:

  • A PC or Mac with an SSD often boots in just seconds, runs applications faster and transfers files faster. An HDD requires time to speed up to operating specification and will continue to be slower than an SSD during normal use.

  • Because an SSD has no moving parts. your data is more likely to be kept safe when you drop your laptop bag or when you accidentally kick your system. An HDD has read/write heads that fly over the drive platter at a distance of a few nanometers when they are in operation.

  • SSD's make no noise or vibrate, as they are non-mechanical. HDD's are never quiet and faster HDD's will even make more noise than those that are slower.

  • And an SSD is more energy efficient because it does not have to expend electricity spinning up a platter from a standstill.

An SSD is more expensive than an HDD hence we recommend contacting us for our opinion, based on your usage and setup. Generally, replacing your main HDD (where your operating system and applications are installed) with an SSD will make your computer feel like new again. To store large amounts of data, like your movie collection, it is better value to go with an HDD.

We ensure a professional installation and rebuild of the essential software (including the operating system and all updates) and transfer of your files on the new drive.
